FEATURED ILLUSTRATORS

Antonio Fuentes

I was born in Murcia, next to the sea, in the south of Spain. Like so many other children I had a passion for drawing. A passion that lasts to this day. That's why I studied art at the High College of Art and Technology in Valencia. A school that taught me that illustration and literature can go hand in hand, both conceptually and artistically. I would not understand my way of drawing if I had not read so many writers who left their mark embodied in my style. My work, besides books, is also inspired by the art and aesthetics of the early twentieth century with clear lines, flat backgrounds and grey or opaque colors that give prominence to a preeminent and unequal black line, as well as a marked expressiveness in human faces. I also work with more vibrant colors and in a digital format.View Portfolio
