Caitlin Welsh is an exhibiting artist and freelance illustrator living in a sunny section of South Philadelphia. She is inspired by animals both wild and tame, birdsong, and wild gardens. In her work, she strives for a sense of wonderment and magic that is associated with the golden age of children's book illustration, especially during the early 20th century. Her illustrations are done on fine paper or board, with a thin layer of acrylic paints followed by oils. She has completed many commissions, her work has been exhibited at several galleries, and she wants to work with you today!
